Mr. Ryotaro Sakaguchi, one of top wheel-chair tennis players (13 years old) at junior level in Japan, will participate in “18th Annual Hendrickson Wheelchair Classic” held on July 15th and 16th in San Diego. B-Adaptive Foundation will support his challenge and host a reception in Los Angeles to welcome Ryutaro and his family and raise funding to support challenged athletes.

Ryotaro suffered a spinal injury in a car accident when he was 2 years old and has been on wheelchair since. He started playing tennis in 2009 at “Urayasu Junior Tennis Club” founded by his father, Mr. Tsuyoshi Sakaguchi. Before starting his own club, Tsuyoshi had contacted many local tennis clubs that would accommodate Ryotaro, but no club opened the door because of his disability. Ryotaro has been winning various junior tournaments for the last few years. In 2017, Ryotaro made a courtesy visit to Mr. Daichi Suzuki, the commissioner of the Japan Sports Agency as a No.1 junior ranker of the Japan wheelchair tennis. This will be Ryotaro’s first tournament outside of Japan.
