Exploring Los Angeles by Wheelchair Athletes -”Day 2 (1) Recap”

・Exploring Los Angeles – “Day 2 (1) Recap”

On the second day, they first visited the LA Memorial Coliseum, where the Summer Olympic Games were held in 1934 & 1984.

This place is going to hold the opening ceremony for the Los Angeles Olympic and Paralympic games in 2028, and the players seemed very determined to come back here as future Paralympians.

In the afternoon, they wanted to experience wheelchair accessibility in LA, which is said to be more advanced than that in Japan.

Utilizing the wheelchair accessible LA Metro System, they visited globally known places, such as Hollywood and Santa Monica and had an enjoyable time.

All the trains were wheelchair accessible and had ramps, by which they were very impressed.

Through this opportunity, they were able to experience the difference in wheelchair accessibility in LA.
